The Air Jordan 11 has become a tradition in the eyes of sneakerheads and the basketball community as Jordan Brand has commemorated a colorway with an exclusive Holiday release for a number of years. The patent leather combined with the mesh has been the canvas for a handful of timeless colorways. Holiday 2020 appears to feature another AJ11 as the Air Jordan 11 “25th Anniversary” is set to release later this year in celebration of the shoe’s 1995 release.
A black base in tandem with a translucent outsole seems to make their way on the pair. The shoe features a slight modification to the AJ11 we’ve all grown accustomed to. As an ode to the OG samples, the eyelets feature Jordan lettering. The insole further confirms the shoe’s inspiration as the 25 replaces the 23 graphic recognized on the pair. A metal Jumpman also lands near the shoe’s collar.
Since the Countdown Pack in 2008, every December has seen a release of a mid-top Air Jordan 11. Tradition has been that the years alternate between original or first-run retro colorways with new colorways. In 2019, the Black/Red Air Jordan 11 released and this year’s pair comes again in nearly all black to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic Air Jordan.
This holiday’s release of Jordan’s 11th signature sneaker will be releasing on December 12, 2020 and following tradition, the shoes will be available in the full family range of sizes from infant and crib all the way up to large men’s sizes.
Take a look at the pair below, and be sure to stay up to date with every rumored Jordan set to release this year and next on our page dedicated to new Jordan release dates.
