There’s a new wave of Air Jordan 1s flying in next year. Budding iterations of everyone’s favorite Air Jordan will continue in leather and suede, like this year’s “Best Hand in the Game” pack. Yet the combination of the two will be unique, and they’ll be tagged as a Special Project.
Made new with weathered suede overlaying traditional tumbled leather with “SP 19 Air Jordan 1 Retro High” labeled across the lateral paneling, it’s clear that Jordan Brand is taking its Jordan 1 in just about every direction given its proven success. This aesthetic leaning works well, adding an aged look to the shoe that has historically done that best with skate or BMX pro collaborators.
Viewing the Air Jordan 1 through a new lens continues to prove exciting and effective from a brand standpoint. This “Turbo Green” iteration is expected to drop next month with others like it — including this “Neutral Grey” edition. Stay tuned for more specifics.
