Air Jordan 1 Mid “Sonics”

Many opponents attempted to knock Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls from their perch atop the NBA during their six championship seasons. One of those teams was the Seattle Supersonics, which the Bulls beat to start their second three-peat run. The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Sonics” gives a respectful nod to that 1996 Seattle squad as a part of the upcoming “Formidable Foes” pack. The timeless silhouette features a white background with green coloring surrounding the toecap, and along the lace eyelets. Keeping with the Supersonics theme, yellow fills in the major accents on the upper, and paints the outsole. Black is introduced on the heel panel, ankle collar, and tongue for a bit of contrast. Yellow laces string the entire look together. A special stamp is added to the insole to mark the year the honorary foe challenged Michael Jordan and the Bulls. Keep an eye out for the Air Jordan 1 Mid Sonics are your local Jordan Brand retailers in the coming weeks.

Seeing as we have already seen a “Pistons” and “Lakers” version of the Air Jordan 1 Mid, where does the “Sonics” colorway rank among them?
