One might consider the Air Jordan 1 Mid the stepchild of the silhouette. We adore the Air Jordan 1 High and largely enjoy the 1 Low. The Mid, however, for the most part, remains on the downs.
There have been moments, of course, where the shoe has ascended. This newly released “Multicolor” pair helps the shoe return to form.
While much of its success hinges upon its look and feel that’s similar to Air Jordan 1 High blocking in recent times, the Mid also triumphs given the Air Jordan 1 High has grown in height with remastered materials. Now the Mid doesn’t actually look that Mid. In fact, it also stands as tall as the Air Jordan 1 High in the early 2000’s — a formidable height that creeps above the ankle just slightly.
