The University of North Carolina gets an exclusive gift from Jordan Brand with the new Air Jordan 1 Low OG “UNC” PE. Jordan Brand and UNC have a long history together as the university is Michael Jordan’s alma mater and has inspired numerous colorways over the years.
This limited-edition Air Jordan 1 Low OG was gifted to the university’s football team and comes dressed in the Tar Heels’ signature Carolina Blue. The sneaker has a “Sail” leather base with suede overlays in “University Blue.” The signature Nike Swoosh has a pebbled exterior in a shade of deep “Navy.” Other “Navy” elements are seen on the Nike Air tongue tag and small Nike Swoosh on the forefoot.
The signature Air Jordan Wings appear on the heel in “Sail,” while UNC branding is seen on the sneaker’s ascot-inspired insole. The sockliner is given a luxurious finish as the inside of the sneaker is lined with quilted “University Blue” silk.
