Michael Jordan’s famous backboard shattering dunk during a European exhibition game has become that of legend. With only stills of His Airness in uniform and testimonies of those in attendance that faithful day, this vignette has inspired the Jordan Brand lineage greatly over the past two years.
The story has fueled “Shattered Backboard” renderings of the Air Jordan 1 and subsequently an upcoming Air Jordan XXX1 colorway. Next in line is an updated version of the original Air Jordan 1 colorway.
Aptly titled the “Shattered Backboard 2.0” or the “Reverse Shattered Backboards,” this style leans more on the Starfish shade while the base resides in white. Contrasts in black finish the look, while traditional Nike Air branding appears at the tongue.
