Today, the highly anticipated Air Jordan 1 “Banned” surfaced at select Nike outlets across the country. Although some of you may look at this as a regular black and red Air Jordan 1, this ode to the beginning of MJ’s sneaker line has garnered a great amount of interest and brought back the much needed chase in the sneaker community. Here we have extremely detailed images of the Air Jordan 1 “Banned”. The predominately black and varsity red leather upper is highlighted by various symbols that pay tribute to attempted banning of MJ’s first signature model. In detail, the banned “X” rests on the heel, and the famous quote from the Jordan commercial appears on the insole. Other examples of this include the date in which David Stern officially banned MJ’s sneakers and the phrase, “Imagine if…?” on the box.
