It was only month ago, which is technically last year, that modern contemporary mainstay Clae revealed their collaborative offering with Commonwealth. The release revolved around the Hoffman silhouette, a style that pairs understated elegance with sport aesthetics, bridging the gap between the two.
This union also joined coasts, as the western ways of Clae were masterfully forged with an east coast state of mind courtesy of Commonwealth. Today, though, previewed for the first time at the inaugural Agenda Miami, is the American Rag x Clae Hoffman.
American Rag x Clae HoffmanThis iteration marks a departure from blending coasts. The limited edition Hoffman, in and of itself, plants its feet firmly in a west coast sentiment, one that hoists an allure of warm weather and airy vibes.
Leading with plush white suede throughout the casual silhouette, a vegetable tan leather heel sparks a sense of sophistication without being overdone. The same can be said for the leather liner and American Rag gold foil branding at the insole.
American Rag x Clae HoffmanLimited to just 200 pairs total, all of which will be distributed at Clae’s online store and two American Rag brick and mortars, the exclusivity of the collaborative shoe firmly aligns to the brand’s penchant to do things their way, and marketing to a small segment of the consumer base that recognizes the value in craftsmanship, simplicity and the desire to create thoughtful releases.
