adidas has been giving their ZX 8000 model a lot of attention lately, dressing the silhouette in standout colorways — and the adidas ZX 8000 “Yoyogi Park” is no exception. The sneaker takes inspiration from Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park, located in the middle of Shibuya’s busy city center.
This colorway is an ode to Japanese design, as it balances bright colors with muted neutrals that give the sneaker a chic look that is both meditative and striking. The design is centered around rich textures as the soft, shaggy tongue is paired with eggshell leather and brown suede panels that have accents of cool grey. The signature adidas three-stripes appear in purple, with just a hint of mustard yellow on them as well. The mustard yellow accents have a reflective quality to them that correspond with the toecap on the front of the sneaker. To bring everything together, the inner midsole is stamped with analog lettering that displays the address of Tokyo’s historic Yoyogi Park.
