It’s beyond evident that Kanye and his short tenure with adidas have made a significant impact. Like most waves in modern times, hype goes a long way. From Supreme box logos to KAWS x Air Jordan 4s to everything in between: sneaker culture and pop culture go hand in hand and often go far together.

This latest piece proves just that. As some of you might be familiar with his work by now, Zhijun Wang has done lot of work deconstructing shoes and reconstructing them into gas masks. Due to his craftsmanship, he’s gained a lot of popularity from the blogs to even James Harden.

Now, Wang’s work has reached a new achievement in having not one but two of his adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 masks featured in the Museum of Modern Art’s newest exhibition. Items: Is Fashion Modern? contains a range of over 100 pieces capturing a range of modern art including Zhijun Wang’s very own work.

We’ve seen art and sneakers cross paths numerous times and this is a super dope accomplishment for Zhijuna Wang, the MoMA, sneaker culture and art as a whole. Take a look at the dope masks below and let us know what you think in the comments below. If you haven’t already, make sure to follow the artist here for more phenomenal content.
