The adidas Y-3 Qasa High Returns After a Ten-Year Hiatus

In 2002, Yohji Yamamoto and adidas made history at Paris Fashion Week with the inaugural Y-3 collection. The renowned Japanese designer and athletic label spearheaded a new era of fashion and sportswear. Ten years later, in 2013, Y-3 introduced the adidas Y-3 Qasa High, merging the sneaker and streetwear cultures closer together.

Returning in OG form, the offering returns in an all-black base composed of an EVA outsole borrowed from the 90s Tubular running technology. Other details include stretch mesh, elasticated strapping, suede lining on the heel, and leather toe caps. The sock-like upper comes covered in a hue of black, with Y-3 and “YOHJI YAMAMOTO” branding on the heel and midsoles.

The adidas Y-3 Qasa High arrives on May 25 at adidas for $400. For now, check out the images below and lock into our sneaker release page for more updates on upcoming releases. Stay tuned for more at Nice Kicks.
