One of the footwear industry’s longest running partnerships unveiled yet another season of layered and nuanced design this week during Paris Fashion Week, as the Yohji Yamamoto-led Y-3 line showcased its Fall/Winter 2018 lineup at the Grand Palais.
With a series of expectedly muted hues, a signature of the decade-plus sub-brand, Y-3 highlighted several new basketball and running inspired silhouettes. A stylized and paneled take on the brand’s emerging Boost You Wear tech stood out, along with a leather and neoprene-based runner featuring expanding midsole pods and creative volume throughout.
