One day left until presentations! Today was exciting and exhausting. We had Rob Lee, the Creative Director for Adidas Performance, come through the studio and had a fascinating talk with the students about his career. We also had the Red Bull crew come by to replenish our stock of their great product.
We started the day with our last morning meeting with D’Wayne. The quote D’Wayne shared with us today was, “With confidence, you have won before you have started,” by Marcus Garvey. This quote was very appropriate and inspiring since we are having our final presentations tomorrow. We also covered the designer’s role in a focus group and how a focus group must be strategic to be productive.
Rob Lee gave a great talk on how he came to be with Adidas. It was really interesting to hear about all the places he got to travel and the people he met all over the world. One interesting thing Rob said that stuck with me was that design needs to be more than just designers, it is good to network outside of the design world to create good design.
All of the students are working late into the night to render our designs and craft our presentations for the big presentation at Adidas tomorrow.
