With the MLB Summer Classic merely days away, the congregation of some of the MLB’s finest is certainly a thing to take note of as the latest All-Star game should be spectacular. With the various events and showcases taking place, adidas is looking to leave its mark as they have unveiled two special edition takes on popular silhouettes. Producing commemorative colorways on the adidas adizero Afterburner 2.0 and the adidas Energy Boost Icon, these two adidas baseball staples utilize the latest innovative adidas technology such as the LITESTRIKE EVA midsole as seen within the adidas Afterburner 2 and the revolutionary BOOST technology being spotted within the Energy Boost Icon.
These iterations were based upon Cincinnati’s eclectic history, as Cincy is considered to be the “Pork Capital” hence the “Flying Pigs” nickname of the two models. With the red and black hues along the uppers of each cleat along with gold accents providing further accentuation, adidas continues to build upon its momentum.
