During the 1997 NBA Draft, Tracy McGrady was selected ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors. To commemorate this milestone, the creatives at adidas are rereleasing the adidas T-Mac 3 Restomod “Raptors.”
The pair comes dressed in core black, team college purple, and team college red, similar to the jerseys of the Toronto Raptors. However, this modernized version of T-Mac’s signature shoe features a lightweight Bounce midsole. Other than a few upgrades, the silhouette retains its retro build crafted from synthetic leather. For the finishing touches, the pair includes adidas branding on the sides, tongues, and heels, followed by the number “97,” representing his rookie year.
