After turning the silhouette into a vegan-friendly rendition, adidas is now set to drop a limited-edition Stan Smith Golf for spring.
The forthcoming adidas Stan Smith PRIMEGREEN Golf marks the first time this tennis-influenced sneaker is paying homage to the sport of golf. Perfect for the green, this golf shoe is both a sustainable and stylish option for the fashion-inclined players out there. The silhouette is constructed out of a PRIMEGREEN upper, made from high-performance recycled materials, and boasts a bold green colorway as a statement to end plastic waste.
Elsewhere the adidas Stan Smith Golf sports a die-cut PU sockliner and PU cushioning in the midsole, while down under, the sneaker utilizes an adiwear rubber spikeless outsole. Rounding out the final details is a removable white kiltie that houses a gold-colored ball marker embellished with adidas’ signature Trefoil logo.
On the project Stan Smith himself shared, “I’ve had a front-row seat to see how this shoe has evolved over the years, so to see it make its way to golfers while also using sustainable materials is really something special.” He continued, “It shows the versatility that this shoe offers to everyone and it will be fun to see it bring some additional style to the course.”
