adidas’ upcoming Rivalry collection, comprised of a Hi and Low iteration, is dedicated to the Far East. Both the adidas Rivalry Hi and adidas Rivalry Low boasts decorative details influenced by the historical Chinese game of Xiangi, a variation of Chinese chess.
Both pairs feature embellished straps that wrap around the top of the throat, as well as nods to the game found on the tongues. The adidas Rivalry Hi “Xiangi” sports a fresh white leather outfit accented with red liners, stitching, and outsole, whilst the adidas Rivalry Low “Xiangi” is dressed in “Dark Green” and crinkled, foil-like iridescent paneling inserted into the toe boxes, stripes, and heels.
Both the adidas Rivalry Hi “Xiangi” and adidas Rivalry Low “Xiangi” will release overseas tomorrow, while a stateside drop is in the works.
