adidas is embracing both speed and weightlessness in their new promotional video for the adizero f50 starring Lionel Messi. Adorning the 4-time World Player of the Year in an LED-light suit, adidas also outfitted Messi with the adidas f50 as his movements and skills are on display in slow-motion, creating a special rendition of adidas’ take on the term “speed of light”. In order to maintain his style of play, the f50 was specially optimized to be lightweight, tipping the scales at a meager 5.8 ounces. Dominated by blast purple, this special edition of the adizero f50 features a streaking gradient of turbo red, with a balanced effort of the three stripes emblazoned on both sides of each shoe. Messi’s name and logo are seen on the medial collar and heel tab, respectively, making it a point to signify this cleat as the player’s signature.
