Damian Lillard x adidas Real Deal “Rookie of the Year”

What a year Damian Lillard has had. After being drafted sixth out of Weber State by the Portland Trail Blazers, Lillard had an outstanding season, capped by being named the NBA Rookie of the Year. To commemorate this achievement, adidas is releasing the adidas Real Deal “Rookie of the Year” inspired by Lillard’s upcoming and hometown, this sneaker will release in very limited quantities. The “Rookie of the Year” Real Deal is decorated with red for Lillard’s high school, purple for Weber State, and black for the Portland Trail Blazers. The animal print on the sockliner represents the Wildcat mascot, which Lillard had in both high school and college. Also, the sneaker features “Townbiz” and “Fly Guyz” branding to represent Oakland and his close group of friends. The Real Deal “Rookie of the Year” will go on sale May 23, 2013 for $120 at Compound in Portland, Oregon, Shoe Palace in Oakland, and adidas.com.
