Hidden for almost 30 years in the attic of a former adidas Technical Director, the City Marathon PT prototype was discovered last year while the 90-year-old was moving out of his house. Now that the classic design has been recovered, it is ready to come back to life this fall. Featuring adidas’ patented Dellinger Web technology to cushion each stride, the iconic sneaker acts like a trampoline by adding spring to each step. Coming back in three timeless styles, the vintage silhouette takes on Berlin, Chicago, and New York. A 42.195km branding honors long-distance racing and adds detail, as the number represents the distance it takes to finish a marathon course.
