The adidas The Kobe II was easily one of Kobe’s most polarizing signature models as its angular design drew the ire or celebration of respective sneaker lovers. Hitting retail shelves in a variety of different hues, we’ve seen Kobe lace up several schemes of the model as well as a chrome colorway and a commemorative “USA” model in honor of the victims of 9/11.
The legacy of the adidas The Kobe II remains strong despite having yet to receive the retro treatment. Plenty would attribute this feeling to the futuristic design of the model and the subsequent stars to lace up the silhouette, such as a teenage LeBron James. In fact, James would share the stellar details that the patriotic KOBE II’s he sported in High School as they were actually gifted to him by Bryant himself.
