adidas is bringing back the adidas Gil Zero in Restomod form with the “UNDRCRWN” colorway and looks like the “Hibachi” colorway is coming to the sneaker later this month as well.

Gilbert Arenas was known for popularizing the term Hibachi in basketball, using a metaphor of heating up like a Hibachi grill when he was getting buckets at ease during his prime with the Washington Wizards. Originally the colorway appeared on his second signature sneaker, the adidas Gil Zero 2, and was limited to 1,000 pairs and released exclusively in the DC area in 2008.

The sneaker uses a black woven upper with dark red leather overlays. The Hibachi logo is stitched on the heel in black with the midfoot overlay seen in white leather with a chrome adidas hit and a Gil Zero logo in the midsole. The white midsole will most likely be upgraded to Bounce with the 3 Stripes appearing on the lateral heel. adidas Formotion is featured in the outsole that brings flexibility and freedom of motion with a mix of different patterns on the outsole.

The adidas Gil Zero Restomod “Hibachi” is set to drop on January 27th via adidas.com and at select retailers for $140. Check out the photos below and for all the latest sneaker drop dates, head over to our Sneaker Release Dates page.
