Throughout 2021 we’ve seen the adidas Forum Low offered in a slew of different two-tone colorways. While we appreciate the silhouette’s return, adidas has kept things relatively safe and simple. It seems that they’re finally ready to take things up a notch with the all-new adidas Forum Low “Sashiko.”
The “Shashiko” aesthetic originates in Japan and is essentially traditional embroidery. Shashiko was able to gain global popularity as its intricate stitches and patterns are regarded as fine craftsmanship. For this adidas Forum Low, the sneaker has a navy blue base that honors the traditional Japanese aesthetic. The star of the show is the Sashiko stitching that covers the toebox and the adidas Three-Stripes. The tongue is made with earthy brown leather that is also used to wrap around the heel counter. The sneaker is finished with an eggshell midsole, navy blue outsole, and four sets of laces.
