The narrative throughout the World Series will continually shift as the Dodger and Astros battle it out. Well aware of this shifting narrative, adidas will be creating custom cleats for the Dodgers’ Justin Turner and the Astros’ Carlos Correa that tellsthe story of the series. And to have both Turner and Correa truly represent their respective team’s cities, adidas has partnered with the Los Angeles-based Chad Cantcolor and Houston’s David Maldonado to design each cleat.

From adidas, here are details of the cleats both Turner and Correa wore in Game 2:

  • Justin Turner – The Dodgers took a 1-0 lead courtesy of a 382ft go-ahead two-run HR by Justin Turner – that moment is emblazoned onto cleats with the red beard with the tongue sticking out from the iconic photo of JT after his homer (see attached photo). After the game Turner posted a photo of the game with the caption calling dodger fans to get louder and get LIT tomorrow night and that has been narrated onto the cleats – “Get Loud. Get Louder. Get Lit.” Also – AROD called Justin “Redtober” on the post-game broadcast so that’s on the inside of the cleat.
  • Carlos Correa – Prior to the game, Carlos posted a photo of himself and all his teammates saying Squad Loose. On the other cleat you see Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve’s iconic handshake.
