With Kobe Bryant’s estate and Nike parting ways, the timing seems to be interesting as adidas is set to bring back the adidas Crazy 1 for the first time since 2014.

The adidas Crazy 1 was originally called the adidas Kobe 1 when Kobe Bryant was signed with the 3 Stripes and the Sunshine colorway is most notably known when Kobe wore them in the 2001 NBA All-Star Game. The design was inspired by the Audi TT, with its rounded edges and interesting shape. The 3 Stripes are debossed on the medial and lateral sides with adidas branding on the tongue and heel. adiprene+ was used for cushioning in the original, but still unknown if the same cushioning setup is used. Lastly, a uniform herringbone outsole finishes off the sneaker.

After dropping in October, the adidas Crazy 1 “Sunshine” is set to restock on December 10th, 2022 via adidas.com and at select retailers for $140. Check out the official photos below of the sneaker as well as it on-court in the 2001 NBA All-Star Game.
