The adidas Climacool bring back in late 2016/early 2017 wasn’t the hit the brand hoped it would be. Minimal success followed its retro release, much of which was mirrored with the contemporary Climacool 02/17. Adidas, however, isn’t deterred, as a new iteration of the shoe is dropping next year.
Previewed here today, the adidas Climacool 2018 is largely a retro-fitted creation. The design odes to traditional Climacool designs with a separated sole, yet not joined by a midfoot shank as with past editions. Breathable construction engulfs the knit upper while ventilated midfoot paneling references the shoe’s origins.
