As with tradition, the Chinese New Year brings about a budding collection from adidas Basketball. The ‘Year of the Monkey’ provides the backdrop this time around, and design cues get pretty interesting as a result.
Consisting of both the adidas D Rose 6 ($140) and the newly released adidas D Lillard 2 ($105), the adidas “Fire Monkey” Collection highlights printed goodness over performance-based silhouettes that equally splash into the lifestyle pool. The D Rose 6 elects for a red fire monkey enthused upper paired with blue accents over a translucent blue outer. The Lillard 2 tilts towards a darker onset, transitioning to a blackout look with hints of red, gold and the same icy blue outer as its counterpart.
The adidas “Fire Monkey” Collection drops on February 5.
