Arizona State has recently announced a partnership with adidas that will tie the university and sneaker company together for the next eight years. Following a previous stint under Nike, the Sun Devils become the latest program donning the Three Stripes insignia. Arizona State’s Vice President of Athletics Ray Anderson seems to admire the move as he states:

“adidas has shown a sincere commitment and level of investment in Sun Devil Athletics that is commensurate with the hard work and championship-caliber performances that are displayed by our student-athletes, coaches, and sports programs. We not only made a decision that was advantageous for Sun Devil Athletics financially, but a partnership decision that will undoubtedly advance our brand based on the innovation of the company and commitments that adidas has outlined.”

With the recent addition of Arizona State to the Adidas roster, this makes the Sun Devils the second team in the ever-so-visible PAC-12 Conference joining UCLA who has rocked the Three Stripes since the historic John Wooden days.

Going forward, it’ll be interesting to see how this move changes the landscape of recruiting and notable faces seen on College Kicks On Court.
