Anthony Edwards and adidas Basketball are back at it with a new colorway of the adidas AE 1, inspired by Edwards’ days of dominating the gridiron.
Before Ant-Man was a household name in the NBA and well before his days as a Georgia Bulldog, Edwards was a threat during his youth football days as a member of the Atlanta Vikings.
Years later, Edwards now plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves and decided to go back in time with the help of adidas to bring the purple and gold of the ATL Vikings onto his signature shoe.
It features a predominantly metallic gold finish on the mesh panels and TPU wings. A regal purple dons the knitted bootie of the AE 1 as well as its protruding heel tab supported by the Three Stripes branding dipped in gold.
The adidas AE 1 “Atlanta Vikings” PE is not expected to release anytime soon.
