For Spring/Summer 2023, British designer Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-Wall* brainchild and iconic footwear brand Dr. Martens are once again joining forces. This time around the duo has teamed up on the latter’s classic 1461 Oxford.
Injected with Ross’ creative vision, the upcoming A-COLD-Wall* x Dr. Martens 1461 Oxford is crafted from water-resistant and tumbled nubuck which nods to the architectural motifs that define working-class Britain. Further elevating the collaborative offering are the metal rivets above the toe boxes and rears, as well as the functional zipper in lieu of laces. In terms of branding, ACW*’s linear logo is pressed into the heel counters alongside standard AirWear pull tabs, while co-branding additionally finds its way onto the insoles. Rounding out the final details is the translucent rubber outsole and tinted stitching.
