Stephon Marbury

When: 1996-1997, 2006-Present
Shoes: AND1 Marbury I & II, Starbury line

After Anderson but before Bassy, Stephon Marbury was the premier prep point guard out of New York. One of the original one-and-dones, Marbury took home Third Team All-American honors in his lone season at Georgia Tech and bounced to the pros where Milwaukee would select him and trade him on draft day to the T’Wolves for fellow rookie Ray Allen. Already a household name by fans of hoops in NYC, streetball startup AND1 would sign Marbury to be their first signature athlete. The AND1 Marbury would be the brand’s first shoe on the market, with a follow-up coming in his sophomore season. Marbury eventually dipped to Nike, returned to AND1, went back to Nike and then started his price conscious Starbury line which is still sold today. Word has it that the AND1 Marbury 1 is coming back in 2015.
