Aside from Trinidad Jame$ and Carmelo Anthony, historically, most people would not list the Air Jordan 2 as their favorite silo from the storied line.
Relying more on Italian composition and TPU tooling than nostalgic attributes, its mature makeup doesn’t necessarily translate well to amplified attributes or corresponding clothing collections. Furthermore, Michael Jordan was oft-injured in this model, making the memories and storytelling far tougher than that of its contemporaries.
Is it still a great shoe? Absolutely, and underrated at that. While only two mid-top makeups were originally launched, the model has become an unlikely catalyst for collaboration and premium release. Air Jordan 2 “Doernbecher”

The first Air Jordan to get a Doernbecher design, then 15-year old Sheridan Brenton placed his school colors on a black base for this courageous colorway, popping with a paisley print and his favorite proverb. After going through numerous surgeries to repair an arm that had been detached during a car accident, his story and spirit remain inspiring and his shoes still remain a collectible and a strong fashion statement.
