For the Fall/Winter 2023 season, Finnish lifestyle and sneaker brand Karhu has released a special pack to celebrate its proprietary Air Cushion midsole.
Comprising the label’s iconic Albatross 82 and Mestari, the range boasts refreshed colorways of both silhouettes as originally seen in the 70s and 80s. The Mestari, which means “champion” in Finnish, was first introduced in the 1970s and went on to become a top seller. The pair is available in five different colorways “Dark Forest/Curry,” “Mestari True Navy/India Ink,” “Quarry/Black,” “True Navy/Silver,” and “Quarry/Daylily”.
On the other hand, the lightweight Albatross 82 runner, also boasting the label’s Air Cushion, receives four color schemes of different colorways “Reflecting Pond/Daylily,” “Kombu Green/Mineral Red,” “Quarry/Surf The Web” and “Stormy Weather/India Ink”.
The Fall/Winter 23 colourways of the Mestari and Albatross 82 are now available via Karhu.com and select retailers. The Albatross 82 is priced at $98 and the Mestari retails for $108. Check out the images below shot by Bram Spaan and featuring original 70s and 80s catalog adverts and sketches.
