Fresh off helping Team USA win gold at the Tokyo Summer Olympics, Damian Lillard is also dropping a new LP this week called “Different On Levels The Lord Allowed” under his rap moniker Dame D.O.L.L.A. To celebrate the launch of the new album, Dame and adidas got together for a Dame D.O.L.L.A.-inspired adidas NMD_R1 V2.
Dressed in an all-black mesh upper, more black is used on the 3 Stripes on the quarter panel and overlays featuring lyrics from Dame’s spoken-word song “Blacklist” below the laces. Pink is utilized for accenting, with the lateral and medial heel block using a gradient black to pink and the large heel loop is in pink with German branding commonly seen on the NMD. Instead of the adidas Dame logo typically seen on his signature performance line, they opt for a new logo featuring a D and a dollar sign which is seen on the tongue. A bar code (get it?) is utilized on the medial side with NMD branding by the laces and Dolla printed on the lateral wedge block. The midsole uses BOOST which is seen in black with a pink outsole to finish off the sneaker.
