Summer Pro-Am leagues across the country are in full swing such as the Drew League in LA and Dyckman Basketball Tournament in Washington Heights. NBA players are mainstays in these leagues and during the 2011 NBA lockout, Kevin Durant crashed Rucker Park for a 66 point performance that got its own colorway of the Nike KD 6 called “NYC 66”, and this Nike KD 14 is inspired by that summer night when the sun goes down and lights turn on at the park.

The upper uses a bright peach base with a translucent grey mesh overlay. The heel counter uses an ombre of pink and orange to mimic a sunset and bright peach is seen again on the KD tongue logo. The Nike Presto-inspired midfoot strap uses a translucent grey with a bright pink Swoosh at the end and a mini Swoosh can be seen on the medial toe in black.

The Nike KD 14 uses a full-length Zoom strobel setup and the Zoom unit is visible on the lateral side in bright peach. Cushlon is utilized in the grey speckled midsole and the grey outsole uses multidirectional grooves and patterns for grip and court feel. The insoles feature a photo of a bird’s eye view of Rucker Park on those Pro-Am summer nights.

The Nike KD 14 “Sunset” is set to drop for $150 on July 22nd via Nike.com and select retailers. Check out the official photos below and let us know on Twitter and Instagram if these are a cop or drop.
