Nike is expanding its lauded Space Hippie lineup with an all-new Space Hippie 01 dressed in an earthy “Grey Volt” outfit. Arriving just in time for Earth Month, this Nike Space Hippie 01 “Grey Volt” boasts a signature grey “Space Waste Yarn” upper accented with “Volt” stitched Swoosh and “Light Blue” heel tabs. Further pushing is eco-friendly design is a “Green” Crater Foam sole.
The Space Hippie 01 is just one of Nike’s recent models aimed at reducing waste and lowering the company’s carbon emissions. The sneaker’s upper alone is made up of 90% recycled polyester made from recycled plastic bottles, T-shirts, and yarn scraps.
