When KITH owner Ronnie Fieg initially teased “The Palette” on Instagram, the comments section screamed with anticipation. Initial photos displayed many colorways of the ASICS Gel Lyte III on the floor. With Fieg unveiling the collection last night, it looks like ASICS hype and demand will be at an all-time high this Holiday season.
“The Palette” collection between Ronnie Fieg and ASICS celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Gel Lyte III. As such, the collection features 30 different colorways of the classic runner, with the colors being drawn from Fieg and ASICS past collaborations. From “Dusty Quartz” and “French Clay” to “Helium” and “Molecule”, many tonal colors that have appeared on Fieg’s archived works have reappeared.
Each sneaker will possess a defined set of details that pay tribute to Fieg and the sneaker’s 30th anniversary. The left heel of each will be embossed with “30”, while additional notation will appear on the split-tongue. Fieg’s branding will appear on the right foot.
