Linking for their second project, Finnish sneaker brand Karhu and mass sneaker retailer Footpatrol have come together to reconstruct the Legacy 96 sneaker. Brought together by Sasu Kauppi, the former menswear design head of Yeezy and current founder of label SSSU, the three have sprinkled in new and unique touches to the otherwise retro model.
From an eye glance, it’s immediately apparent that the pair is crafted in premium materials. The upper’s outer limits are comprised of a buttery suede, which encases the hairy suede spotted across the toe box. White overlays detail the mid-portions of the sneaker. Each collaborator details their efforts on the heel, while a unique Karhu logo representing a fusion of all three collaborators is found on the toe-box.
Together with a two-piece tracksuit, the Karhu x Footpatrol x SSSU Legacy 96 “Paloma Grey” looks to release on October 17 on footpatrol.com.
