CLOT’s collaborations never disappoint. Not only has their recent work on the VaporMax wowed, but they’ve proven strong over the years by translating Chinese culture across many sneaker brands over the years.
This time around, CLOT has partnered up with Converse, with whom they previously partnered with in 2012. They will issue a special release One Star sneaker to celebrate the alignment of CLOT’s Fall 2017 collection inspired by Inner Peace.The new collection by CLOT founders, Edison Chen and Kevin Poon, cements the longstanding relationship between both brands.
Inspired by the balance of yin and yang, the shoe’s black upper and white outer collar see styling in hairy suede that mirrors the zen Chinese symbols for Inner Peace imprinted on the shoe’s insole and outer sole. Printed on both sides of the inner foxing is a quote of Confucian wisdom in Mandarin, backed by its equal in English translation.
The CLOT x Converse One Star collection launches at Converse retail stores, and select retailers and on Converse.com on Thursday, September 14, 2017. The sneakers will retail for $110.
