Nike, in efforts to remember the gold medal-winning 1996 Dream Team, is re-releasing Penny Hardaway’s Nike Zoom Flight 96 “Olympic” shoe.
Alongside a host of other Olympic themed retros, this one comes as a bit of a surprise. Forthcoming drops of the Nike Air More Uptempo and Nike Air Force 180 have certainly been more talked about, but this gem from 1996 is a favorite for many who’ve adorned Penny’s signature line.
Hardaway wore the shoe during a gold medal tour, with his Olympic number 6 perfected squarely at the heel. The predominately white and navy colorway is finished with gold accents in honor of the team’s victorious run in Atlanta.
