Since his induction to the rap game, Big Sean has been stealing the show on guest verses and keeping it cutting edge with the visuals. His bravado on stage mixed with his spanning spectrum of style got him noticed by adidas Originals back in 2012, eventually leading to a string of sought after sneaker collabs. As Sean and the Three Stripes prepare to launch this weekend’s Oahu-inspired Metro Attitude, we take a look back at the official adidas releases that have donned Sean Don’s styling.

Big Sean x adidas Pro Model II “Detroit Player”

Release Date: December 1, 2012

Post all-red Louis Vuitton Dons but pre-“Red October” or “Legend of the Summer” sneakers, Big Sean proved to be right on trend with the “Detroit Player” adidas Pro Model II. Making the most of the bold motif before it was the move all over the market, this all-red rendition kept it classy with Italian leather composition, debossed snake print and premium suede trim. Golden debrays relayed royal, while “Memories” quote “I say I’m still dreaming bigger than I’m living” tagged the interior, starting a standard for his upcoming kicks.

These were super hard to get. Only 380 pairs launched worldwid, releasing online at adidas, in-store at the Originals store in SoHo and at Puffer Reds in Ypsilanti prior to his homecoming concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills. They ran $160 a pop and sold for much more after selling out.
