Why it could?ve made the list: Does it get any bigger than Shaq in ?95? Not really. Coming off an NBA Finals appearance, the Diesel was a household name and the Shaqnosis was a sneaker worth paying attention to. The timing of the shoe?s release capitalized off his enormous star power, backed by a budding acting career and two major label rap records.
Why it didn?t: The Shaqnosis was great, but then what? Even the Kamikaze II and the T-Mac III added momentum to long if not strong signature lines, but the same can?t be said for this Shaq sig. These are still a classic– and worthy of a retro– just not top 20.
