To commemorate the 15th anniversary of Nike SB Dunks, the Swoosh created an interactive website back in February that chronicled the history of the shoe. In a similar vein, the Portland sneaker consignment shop IndexPDX will celebrate the anniversary with “15 years of Nike SB” on Friday, August 25.
Organized by Mikey Skoro, the event will have over 200 shoes and 100 promo items on display. Here’s a glimpse at the type of SBs that will be featured at the event:
Event attendees are encouraged to bring used skateboarding shoes, which will then be donated to underprivileged youth in Cuba. And as an incentive to bring a donation, for each shoe donated, raffle tickets to win an autographed Nike SB X Plan B Paul Rodriguez promo board set will be given out.
