Some remember, some may have forgot, but the Nike Air Huarache came back in 2007 in some fire colorways to relatively lukewarm responses. In 2014, the sock-structured runner came back with pretty much no promo or marketing campaign, unexpectedly garnering rave reviews. The difference? Perhaps it was joggers and modern style evolution making the retro shoe more wearable. Maybe Roshes and Flyknits tailing off but upping the ante for comfort opened a lane. It’s hard to quite pinpoint it, but the Nike Air Huarache proved the surprise hit of the year.
