The Vans Half Cab stemmed from one of the best skateboarders of the time, cutting down the ankle height of the sneakers he was wearing. This young up and coming skater was Steve Caballero, hence the name Half Cab. While the Half Cab was introduced in 1991, this legendary skateboard icon celebrates 20 years of signature shoes with Vans in 2009.
