For Nick Smith, a passionate sneakerhead that lives near Philadelphia, the one word he can only use to describe his massive sneaker collection is diverse. This may seem like a strange way to describe a sneaker collection but when you take a look at Smith’s 350 sneakers, like coiski’s George Kiel did in a recent episode of Open the Box, you will understand why diverse is exactly the right adjective to use.
Smith is a big fan of NIKEiD and has used the customization platform to design unique versions of everyone’s favorite silhouettes.
“NIKEiD is one of those things where you can be creative, it’s a one of one, (you) don’t have to worry about anyone else having it,” Smith told Kiel. “It’s more of the exclusivity that you get with it but also, me being a creator, it allows me to play with colors and concepts.”
