After continuously rapping about his classic kicks, Taylor Gang Records founder Wiz Khalifa has now legitimately collaborated with the brand to create the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Wiz Khalifa collection. It was only a matter of time before the Nike subsidiary joined forces with the rapper that has been externally promoting their product for years. The partnership is Wiz's first sneaker collection and is built around bold detail and subtle luxury. Featuring 12 new styles, the Wiz collection is made up of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star and the Chuck Taylor All Star Swag.
Wiz Khalifa's famous "Taylor" slogan hails from the high school he attended, where coincidentally his love for Chucks started. The Pittsburgh rapper says that he has "always gravitated towards Converse because of how solid the brand is. It's clean and it's classic". The artist wants to express his individual style and vision with his new Converse collection, including giving each design a signature Wiz Khalifa logo tab. Crew love turns to a collaboration on the Wiz Khalifa x Converse Collection. The Taylor Gang general now has a Converse collection to call his own, highlighted by his own sneaker. A grey camo colorway covers an adapted Chuck Taylor silo, sporting the same sole styling but carrying a ribbed ankle panel and block letter branding on the heel. Stars spangle the back portion of the collab, with silver studs stamping the tongue.
