Similar to the “Mar” colorway, the 24 Kilates x Saucony Shadow “Montaña” celebrates the great outdoors of Spain. The Barcelona-based sneaker retailer depicts the picturesque mountains, which ‘montaña’ translates to in English, present in their local scenery. Rocky grey and earth brown suede play the main role in the color scheme on this collaborative shoe. Those two colors also cloak mesh underlay throughout the upper, and a brown makes it way onto the leather heel tab and inner lining. The earth tones are accented by off-white coloring on the mid-panel branding and heel décor. A snow white midsole matches the white laces, and a rigid black outsole brings the shoe to a close. The special tongue label features a symbolic drawing of the Spanish mountains, and 24 Kilates again announces its presence via bold stitching along the lateral toe box. The 24 Kilates x Saucony Shadow Montaña will release on Frida, July 26. Which sneaker in the 24 Kilates x Saucony Shadow Mar & “Montaña” Pack will you cop?
After seeing a preview months ago, the 24 Kilates x Saucony Shadow “Mar” can finally be seen in all of its collaborative glory. The Barcelona-based retailer, 24 Kilates, depicts the scenic views of Spain on this joint effort. “Mar” translates to sea in English, and this shoe strives to recreate the visual with sandy beige suede and mesh laying the foundation for lush green and caging on the heel. Navy mesh paneling matches the navy leather heel tab and inner lining. The oceanic pictorial continues with green leather Saucony branding on the mid-panels. A crisp white midsole matches the white laces, before a light gum outsole provides a rigid, but clean, finish. Further detail is added in the form of a special tongue label that features a beach drawing to commemorate the shoe’s theme, and “24 KILATES” stitched in bold green letters along the lateral toe box.
