Nike Sportswear Lux Air Force Ones

Nike Sportswear Lux Air Force Ones

Nike Sportswear unveiled the return of the Italian made Lux Air Force Ones last night at the Mercer St Grand Opening event. These Air Force Ones are anything like the $85 ones any average Joe can grab at their local spot. The Lux Air Force Ones are handmade in Italy of genuine crocodile skin and the highest grade of leather.

With the luxury look comes a luxury price. The shoes will set one back $2,000 and will be delivered 4-6 weeks after ordered. Each shoe is made to order and custom fitted in the Nike Sportswear store. Check out all of the Lux Air Force Ones after the jump.

  1. The only thing to say is a work of art, its nice to see sneakers like this appreciated enough that they see the highest quality materials and handmade to perfection. The worst thing I hate seeing is factory flaws in the stitching on a fresh pair of kicks!

  4. you could spend half that on some real nice wholecuts or wingtips and the bonus would be you’d look like a damn grownup

don’t get me wrong, I understand luxury sneaks to a point. but that point is well short of $2000, especially for a silo as un-lux as the AF1

  18. the green and purple kicks, look like the type of joint’s
a “pimp named slickback” would wear.

    Comment by ikhon — August 22, 2008 @ 9:37 pm

  19. for that price they better not crease at all its one thing for a pair of premiums or supremes to crease a little but handmade, best materials, and Italian for that matter leave no room for toe creases.

    Comment by lcsupa — August 23, 2008 @ 8:48 am

  25. 2000? They better feel as good as they look on my feet.

Nike is going luxury it would seem. I bet those shoes really cost 200 dollars to make LMAO (I still want them…. but I would have to try them on first to see how comfortable they are… they would have to be Air Jordan 23/Air max 360 comfortable for me to spend 2 Grand large… like I got the money to do that lol)

    Comment by PhilWil — August 23, 2008 @ 2:31 pm

  26. for that much you could have a hand made, made to measure luxury pair of quality shoes.
this is the equivalent of a $100 burger - it’s never going to be haute cuisine.

    Comment by KBRIZZLE — August 23, 2008 @ 9:30 pm

  29. I don’t think those are a 2 grand shoe. Last years luxes were better than these, they had a better look. I’m sorry but if I’m gonna drop that kind of money, I don’t want purple or green croc, thats just tacky. The placement of the materials/colors wasn’t that great on these either, I like unorthodox placement usually, but I dont like these.

Does anyone feel like these are almost not a part of the collecting side of sneakers? Like these are actually your luxury italian shoes, not the kind people hunt for, even though they are air force 1s.

Doesn’t matter because I don’t have the money lol. But if I did have 2 grand to spend on a shoe, I’d spend it on an old pair of forces I’ve been looking for, not italian shoes.

  31. alredy get them.

    Comment by JT — August 24, 2008 @ 11:02 am

  32. $2,000 for a pair of Nikes? That’s laughable. What is Nike thinking? 90% of people with that kind of money to spend on shoes aren’t going to buy “luxury” Nikes, the rest are athletes who probably don’t have to pay for their Nikes anyways.

  36. Nike’s not gonna be selling a lot of these.
I wouldn’t buy them even if i had bill gates money.
2grand for a pair of ugly ass air force ones??? nah i’ll pass. The ones that would pass with me would be the black and whites. I’m going to go see the mercer store this weekend i’ll see em and make up my mind on what i think of them cuz they probably look better in person. But seriously those things are ugly and probably one of those sneakers that arent photogenic.
Even if they’re air force ones so you wont find me wanting them any time soon
