Nike SB “Gucci” PRodII Closer Look
 We previewed this new Nike SB “Gucci” PRod II in our October 2008 Release Update. Now we’ve got a detailed look for you, along with a look at some of the gear Nike Skateboarding has created to go with this release.
Normally, I can say that I am not into this colorway, the red and green usually doesn’t do anything for me. I am usually not a fan of any of the gear to go with it either, but this release has got me thinking differently. The details on the “Gucci” PRod II are nice, nice enough to earn the “Gucci” nickname. Even the matching SB baseball jacket might have to be added to my closet. I definitely can’t get into the hat though, I’ll leave that for Ashton Kutcher’s collection. Overall though, definitely a solid release for the PRod 2 line. I think the ‘Gucci’ comes from the red and green on the sneaker. Gucci has used these colors on some of their men’s shoes.

I saw these at UBIQ this weekend. They got the “Gucci” nickname
because on the quilted part on the side panel under the swoosh they have PR linked together like the double G’s of Gucci. Not really feelin them though and they didn’t have any other Oct. SB’s I wanted the Boba Fetts or Melbournes.

That’s on all P-rod’s..
it’s Gucci because Gucci put’s a green and red strap on most of there black or grey themed products.

Yeah, the PR is also on all the insoles of the P-Rod 2s. I liked the Valentines Massacres better than these.

@ P.Hussla…wtf are you talking about? It’s VERY common for urban heads to dub items using the red/blk/green (recognized as being made popular by GUCCI) colorway as “Gucci”…AS EVIDENCED ALSO BY THE “GUCCI” DUNK…that’s common knowledge to anyone in the know!
Or do you think that has something to do with the dunk design swirling into into a ‘link’? lmao
Matter of fact here is an advertisement for the “Diamond Supply X Crooks & Castles “GUCCI COLORWAY” tee”
Another example of something being dubbed “GUCCI” because it contains the color combination (red/blk/gr) made popular by GUCCI.
And what I hate is when someone tries to criticize and 1) doesn’t know wtf they’re talking about and 2) can’t f’in spell —what the F is “suttin”????

Yeah Terrell now that you say that, they do all have the PR print. They shoulda saved it just for this color then they would be special. Calling everything that’s black/red/green “Gucci” is played out and so is changing another brand’s monogram to fit your own initials. I did swear I was right though Oh well I’m a douche haha.

nikeindabutt is one of the only person’s one this site whose claims i actually read, just for the fact that hes one of the only heads on here that actually knows what hes talking about..him, matt and a select few others.

They got their name because Gucci’s Signature Colors are Red & Green From Wallets to Kicks to hats to belts. Remember the unreleased “Gucci” SB Dunk? Same Colorway as this P-Rod and Jacket is dope it’s a must cop

That Jacket is def poppin.. the shoes is iight, da hat dont even count.. They dubbed it guccie because grn/red/blk are gucci colors.. if u ever noticed most gucci products have those colors on them..
